Project Based Learning

This training is designed to assist educators with improving reading and math using project-based learning activities. Multi-disciplined educators will gain practice designing and implementing themes to address specific skill gaps.

Ms. Kimberly Rutherford, Instructor/Staff Developer, joined Dillard University in 2008 to serve new and returning first-year students as they embark upon the newest leg of their educational journey. Prior to her beginnings in higher education she has varied experiences and training in K-12 education including dual Masters Degrees in Curriculum & Instruction and Educational Administration. Ms Rutherford has served as an administrator, teacher, mentor for teachers and administrators as well as a Staff Developer for teachers accross the country. Kimberly's interest in special needs prompted her to complete additional coursework and finally to enroll in the only doctoral program in Developmental Education in the country. Currently, Ms. Rutherford works with the Nation of Grenada and several other international staff developers as an educational consultant. Ms. Rutherford continues bringing a plethora of creative ideas and strategies focused on equipping students with the tools to make their learning the springboard to total success.
